President's Welcome Reception

6:00 - 7:30 pm, Mardi Gras World, 1380 Port of New Orleans Place (south end of the Convention Center). All attendees are invited to the ACAAI President's Welcome Reception. Join us at Mardi Gras World and be prepared for a celebration in true New Orleans fashion! Since 1947, artists and craftsmen have designed and built the oldest and biggest parade floats and attractions for each Mardi Gras season, with more than 500 floats built and decorated each year. In the float den, you will see where the artists work year-round to build the spectacular floats and props. You never get this close to the floats while they are rolling in Mardi Gras parades, and this is certainly the only place to see how these amazing pieces come to life each year.
