The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) is pleased to welcome the media to our 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting, “Advancing Allergy/Immunology Discovery.” The meeting will take place on October 24-28 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
ACAAI's annual meeting is a recognized forum for peer-reviewed presentations of new research by allergists and allied scientists from around the world. This year's meeting will provide plenty of news opportunities for press registrants, including:
Journalists are invited to report on the latest developments in the treatment of allergies, asthma and immunologic disorders – conditions that affect an estimated 100 million Americans.
ePosters will be offered on a single day.
ACAAI is excited to offer the 2024 ePosters in one consolidated session of groundbreaking research and extraordinary challenging cases on Friday, October 25 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm! All Research. All Medically Challenging Cases. All Presenting Authors. All in One Afternoon.
Late-breaking Abstracts
These presentations, featuring the latest information on clinical research, will be presented in the Distinguished Industry Oral Abstract sessions on Saturday, October 26 from 4:30 - 6:00 pm.
Livestream Program
ACAAI will broadcast designated sessions through our Livestream platform. All Livestream sessions will occur at the in-person Annual Meeting and will be streamed in real time. Registration for Livestream sessions provides access to 19 different 90-minute sessions of ACAAI 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting content. Livestream registrants can participate in real time, including Q&A with the session faculty. Media may register for Livestream access - or for in-person attendance at the meeting - but not both.
Abstracts: Abstracts will be published online in a supplement to the October issue of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, ACAAI’s scientific journal. Journalists covering the meeting can obtain advance copies of selected abstracts by contacting the ACAAI Public Relations staff (hollisheavenrich-jones@acaai.org). The ACAAI embargo will lift on all oral and poster presentations on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 8:00 am ET, unless otherwise noted.
All accepted abstracts, ePosters, and oral presentation slides are embargoed until Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 8:00 am ET. Authors and their institutions are permitted to share only the abstract title, date of oral/ePoster presentation, and presenter name in any communication prior to October 24. Please contact Hollis Heavenrich-Jones, ACAAI Public Relations Director, hollisheavenrich-jones@acaai.org for additional information.
Press releases, media alerts, or related materials sent by authors or their institutions do not need to be reviewed by the College, but please be aware that they must not indicate ACAAI endorsement or use the ACAAI logo.
A press kit containing embargoed news releases will be sent via email to media outlets on Friday, October 18, 20024, and embargoes will lift on Thursday, October 24 at 8:00 am EST. All embargo dates must be adhered to.
Press admission is available to working journalists whose attendance at the meeting may result in print, broadcast or electronic coverage of the ACAAI and its individual members. Registration fees are waived for working press, defined as editorial staff of newspapers, magazines, medical or health care publications, broadcast or web-based media.
ACAAI does not issue media credentials to the following: a publication's advertising, marketing, public relations or sales representatives; publishers, editors or reporters from manufacturers; "house organs" or promotional publications; public relations staff of exhibitors or educational institutions; writers creating analyses or reports sold as a commodity to customers; or other individuals who are not actually reporting on the meeting.
Working media representatives may not be registered as exhibitors. To obtain press admission, identification certifying that you are a working member of the news media on assignment to cover the meeting is required. Business cards from established news organizations are sufficient to establish eligibility.
The ACAAI reserves the right to deny press credentials to anyone at any time.
Registered media will receive an electronic press kit prior to the meeting.
Information regarding press registrants is proprietary. ACAAI does not release the media registration list.
All scientific programs are open to the press, as well as abstract concurrent sessions/poster presentations, and the exhibit hall. A media badge permits entrance into any session, including "paid" ones such as the Thursday Program and Friday Literature Review. These two programs are also additional "paid" sessions for Livestream. As there is no "badge" to gain access to the Livestream program, media will automatically be allowed to attend these two sessions if you are registered for Livestream.
Recording of the meeting’s scientific or educational programs for commercial or promotional purposes is not permitted.
