Important Details

• Media should pre-register on or before Friday, October 30, 2026, to attend this year’s meeting in person in Phoenix. Media can register for in-person attendance, i.e.: on site, at any time, but may be delayed at the registration desk. (Please try to register in advance if you will be on site.)
• It is necessary to register for the meeting if you are attending in person. If you are covering the meeting remotely, it is not necessary to register.
• It is also necessary to register if you would like to access the Livestream version of the meeting. Media registered for the Livestream session only have access to Livestream sessions. Media covering the meeting on site do not have access to the Livestream sessions.
• To register for the Livestream sessions, fill out the media registration form and mark “Livestream” at the top of the form next to your last name. No Livestream registrations will be accepted after Wednesday, November 11 at 5:00 pm MT.
• News releases from our press kit will be posted to our online newsroom when embargoes lift on Thursday, November 12 at 8:00 am MT.
• The electronic press kit will be sent to media on Friday, November 6. Embargoes will lift on news releases and abstracts on the first day of the meeting, Thursday, November 12 at 8:00 am MT.
• Email hollisheavenrich-jones@acaai.org to request an embargoed electronic press kit, which will be available on Friday, November 6.

By attending the 2026 American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) Annual Meeting in person, media attendees can:

• listen live to scientific presentations and keynotes.
• set up interviews with spokespersons, allergists, and researchers.
• gain a perspective on groundbreaking allergy solutions by attending presentations given by allergists from around the country and the world.
• get a first look at new research covering a variety of allergy and asthma topics.

About the Meeting

The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is pleased to welcome the media to our 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting, “Podium to Practice ®: Building Bridges for the Future.” The meeting takes place November 12-16 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix.

ACAAI’s annual meeting is a recognized forum for peer-­reviewed presentations of new research by allergists and allied scientists from around the world. This year’s meeting will provide unique news opportunities for press registrants, including:

• Scientific presentations
• Oral and poster sessions
• Medically challenging cases
• Late breaking abstracts

Journalists are invited to report on the latest developments in the treatment of allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders — conditions that affect an estimated 100 million Americans.

Of special interest this year

Late-breaking Abstracts
These presentations, featuring the latest information on clinical research, will be presented in the Distinguished Industry and Late-breaking Oral Abstracts sessions on Saturday, November 14 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm.

Livestream Program
ACAAI will broadcast designated sessions through our Livestream platform. All Livestream sessions will take place at the in-person Annual Meeting and will be streamed in real time. Registration for Livestream sessions provides access to 19 different 90-minute sessions of ACAAI 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting content, providing up to 28 hours of CME Credits. Livestream registrants also receive complimentary access to the On Demand recorded sessions with up to 50+ additional hours of content and CME credit. On Demand sessions will be available approximately four weeks after the close of the meeting. No Livestream registrations will be accepted after Wednesday, November 11 at 5:00 pm MT. Media may register for Livestream access – or for in-person attendance at the meeting – but not both.

Embargo Policy

Abstracts: Abstracts will be published in a supplement to the November issue of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, ACAAI’s scientific journal. Journalists covering the meeting can obtain advance copies of selected abstracts by contacting ACAAI Public Relations staff hollisheavenrich-jones@acaai.org. The ACAAI embargo will lift on all oral and poster presentations on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. MT, unless otherwise noted.

All accepted abstracts, ePosters, and oral presentation slides are embargoed until Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 8:00 am MT. Authors and their institutions are permitted to share only the abstract title, date of oral/ePoster presentation, and presenter name in any communication prior to November 12. Press releases, media alerts, or related materials sent by authors or their institutions do not need to be reviewed by the College. But please be aware that they must not indicate ACAAI endorsement or use the ACAAI logo.

Electronic Press Kit

A press kit containing embargoed news releases will be sent via email to media outlets on Friday, November 6, 2026, and embargoes will lift on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 8:00 am MT. All embargo dates must be adhered to.

Media Eligibility

Members of the working press are welcome at the ACAAI Annual Meeting. Nearly all scientific and poster sessions are open to reporters, including plenary sessions, symposia, and oral and ePoster abstract presentations. A media badge permits entrance into these sessions, as well as the Thursday Program and Friday Literature Review Course. Sessions not open to media include the Ask-the-Experts sessions and the hands-on workshops. Media registration is free.

Press registration is extended to:

• Working journalists on assignment, including photojournalists, videographers, producers, podcasters who regularly cover meetings and health science news, web-based media, writers of the general health and medical press and news staff from journals.
• Working freelance journalists with health/science articles from the past two years.

Press registration is NOT extended to:

• Non-news editorial staff of publications.
• Advertising, marketing, or publishing staff or administrative personnel.
• Public relations staff of exhibitors or educational institutions.
• Communications/public relations staff from (or representing) a for-profit company.
• Organizations that primarily produce audio/video continuing education resources.
• Industry supporters.

Working media representatives may not be registered as exhibitors. To obtain press admission, identification certifying that you are a working member of the news media on assignment to cover the meeting is required. Business cards from established news organizations are sufficient to establish eligibility, as is an assignment letter from a news organization.

The ACAAI reserves the right to deny press credentials to anyone at any time.

Advance Media Registration

Registered media will receive an electronic press kit prior to the meeting.

Information regarding press registrants is proprietary. ACAAI does not release the media registration list.

Open to Media

All scientific programs are open to the press, as well as abstract concurrent sessions/poster presentations, and the exhibit hall. A media badge permits entrance into any session, including “paid” ones such as the Thursday Program and Literature Review. These two programs are also additional “paid” sessions for Livestream. As there is no “badge” to gain access to the Livestream program, media will automatically be allowed to attend these two sessions if you are registered for Livestream.

Audio/Video Recording

Recording the meeting’s scientific or educational programs for commercial or promotional purposes is not permitted.
