The College invites you to submit an abstract for the ACAAI 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting, Nov 9 - 13, Anaheim, CA.

The College offers two options for abstract submission – scientific research and medically challenging cases. Please read the following information carefully, as each category will be submitted separately, with different deadlines.

Scientific Research abstract submission deadline: July 10, 2023
Medically Challenging Case abstract submission deadline: August 1, 2023

Scientific Research Abstract Submissions

Deadline: July 10, 2023

NOTE: Case reports will not be accepted in this category. See below for information on submitting a medically challenging case abstract.

The College is accepting scientific research abstracts for consideration for oral and poster presentation during the meeting. The highest scoring non-commercial scientific research abstracts, will be considered for presentation during the Oral Abstract sessions. All other accepted abstracts will be presented as electronic posters on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Scientific research abstracts submitted by industry will be eligible for consideration as "Distinguished Industry Oral Abstracts" (see details below).

Clemons von Pirquet Awards

Are you a FIT? If the answer is yes, be sure to apply for the Clemons von Pirquet Award when submitting your abstract! You could be one of three winners to be selected for the 2023 ACAAI Annual Meeting.
 

Distinguished Industry Oral Abstract Presentations

This year, the College will select the top research abstracts from industry to be designated as Distinguished Industry Oral Abstracts. These will be presented during the scheduled oral abstract sessions.

The deadline for submission of scientific research abstracts is July 10, 2023 (5:00 pm CT).


Late-Breaking Abstracts

The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology invites you to submit an abstract to our Late-Breaking abstract session for the ACAAI 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting in Anaheim, CA, November 9-13th.

Late Breaking abstracts must include groundbreaking research that was not able to be completed for submission by the regular Research abstract deadline. Due to the nature of these abstracts, there will be a VERY LIMITED number of abstracts accepted. These abstracts must contain primary data from groundbreaking laboratory studies or from novel or large clinical trials.

Late breaking abstracts will be accepted between September 15, 2023 and October 15, 2023 (5:00 pm CT). No requests for extensions will be honored.

Scholarships

International FIT Travel Scholarship

The Allergists' Foundation is offering travel scholarships for up to two international Fellows-in-Training with an accepted research abstract to attend the College's 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting in Anaheim, California. Research Abstracts must be fully submitted by the July 10, 2023 deadline to apply.

FIT Scholarships

The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology invites Fellows-in-Training in accredited training programs in North America* to submit an application for a scholarship to attend its 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting in Anaheim, California. It is anticipated that more than 200 scholarships will be made available

Medically Challenging Cases Abstract Submission

Deadline: August 1, 2023

Medically challenging cases provide a forum to share challenging cases you have managed and must illustrate one or more of the following:

  • The management of novel or very uncommon diseases.
  • A common disease presenting in an uncommon way.
  • An uncommon disease masquerading as something more common.
  • Cases which expand understanding of disease pathogenesis.
  • Cases where the teaching point is based on an error.
  • Cases which allow us to re-think established medical lore.
  • Unreported adverse effects of interventions (drug, procedural, or other).

The deadline for submission of medically challenging cases is August 1, 2023 (5:00 pm CT).
